Forza 3!

This is not the most productive afternoon in the office. I blame Ozynxe because he has a build of Forza 3 up and we’re all taking turns racing. Personally, I’m racing with full auto because it’s the only way I can stay off the guard rails. It works great! And yet I still managed to roll my beautiful blue car. I’m talented.

Game looks spectacular too, but that’s a given. I wonder if it has minivans? I love hosting minivan-only races.

Forza 3

I got a chance to interview John Wendl from Turn 10 about Forza on Tuesday, but we were so flat out with editing all the videos that I just got it finished last night! John is a serious car nerd. Look how excited he gets about tire physics!

Today’s Sights

Things I’ve seen so far on the show floor today.

• Steven Spielberg playing Forza 3
• Victoria Beckham is here. Her kids want to see Halo 3: ODST. She’s uing one of our meeting rooms as a green room. And colour me crazy but I think her hands may be chapped. Someone just came into the PR war room, i.e. my work room, frantically asking if anyone had girly lotion. I didn’t. Plenty of lip gloss though.
• Peter Molyneux up close. I didn’t tackle him, hug him, or tell him what a huge fan I am. Last time I did that I got the impression he was fighting the instinct to flee. Weird, right?

Microsoft E3 – Forza 3

New mission: Win the Racing game.

Ooh, Forza 3 world premiere.  Wow.  Looks good.  I’m no good at racing games, but I do love them. Wow.

Dan Greenwald is here to talk to us about how rad cars are. Like the dudes in the audience don’t know, duh!

Apparently it’s more than good looking too. Colour me impressed with the look of it though. Checking rear views, 400 cars, 50 manufacturers. 1 button driving? WHAA?! WANT MORE DETAILS.

Heavy focus on LIVE, which only makes sense. Create/upload hi-def video. Sweet. You can all watch me crash. Now showing off the video editor. They’re showing an example. AMAZING. It looks like James Bond meets The Fast and the Furious.

Ships in October. They’re throwing words like definitive, biggest, and best around. Sounds pretty confident.
